MARRIAGE!

On October 8th, Kendal married Ryan Dean Albers in a backyard ceremony on his parents’ farm near Atlanta, Georgia. A year’s worth of planning and preparation culminated in a three-day festival of live music, storytelling, and the celebration of family traditions.


Serious fun children's network

In September, Kendal served as the children’s music director on his sixth gala with Paul Newman’s SeriousFun Children’s Network, working alongside director Kathleen Marshall and music supervisor Mary-Mitchell Campbell.

In May, Kendal performed at the August Wilson Theatre with fellow alumni of the University of Michigan Musical Theatre program, in a tribute to retiring chair, Professor Brent Wagner.

ABOUT KENDAL

A Musical Theatre performer and teacher based in New York City, Kendal has taught young people of all ages in New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, Ecuador and Nicaragua. He is a vocal coach, voice and piano teacher, and has music directed several shows for young artists. As a performer, Kendal has been featured as a guest artist on multiple albums of children's music with Grammy-winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer. He has been a featured soloist at the Kennedy Center, the St. Louis MUNY, and various venues in New York. Kendal is a proud member of Actors Equity Association, and a graduate of the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre BFA program.
